Understanding & Responding to My Child’s Unsafe Behavior:

For Parents of children who display unsafe behaviors at home and/or at school.

This workshop addresses some of the underlying causes of aggressive behavior and ways to respond.

Goals include helping parents understand why their child is physically aggressive and providing constructive, hands on strategies to help prevent and resolve aggressive behavior.

Facilitated by: Lauren Corder, MA. is a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist specializing in working with children and families on the social-cognitive challenges often faced by individuals on the autism spectrum. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.

Marci Hammel has been an Autism Specialist since 1994 and a foster parent of a child on the autism spectrum since 2000. Marci was also a classroom teacher who worked with students with severe disabilities across all ages ranges. Marci was Program Director for ACAP (Autistic Community Program) from 1995-2013. She has run successful parent support groups for over 15 years.

FREE childcare provided on site. Siblings are welcome too!
