    Child Care Resource & Referral is a program of Umatilla Morrow Head Start, Inc. that assists parents and child care providers with child care issues.

    The Car Seat provides low income families with affordable car seats ranging from $10.00 to $20.00.

    Early Head Start (EHS) is a federally funded community-based program for low-income families with infants and toddlers and pregnant women.

  • Family Support and Connections

    Family Support and Connections believes that every family has strengths and needs. You are the Real Expert on the strengths and challenges within your family. Yet, sometimes having someone who will listen without offering judgment and criticism can help in handling the challenges of being a parent in today’s world. We will work with you to develop a plan to overcome challenges and strengthen your family.

  • Head Start

    Head Start is a comprehensive child development program which serves children  age 3 to 5 and their families.

  • Healthy Start

    Because of Healthy Start, parents are more skilled and their children are healthier and safer, better prepared for school, and less likely to be abused and neglected.

  • Literacy at UMCHS

    Head Start has long recognized the importance of supporting parent’s efforts to attain family self-sufficiency and to be their child’s first and most important teacher.  Adult literacy levels limits the economic self-sufficiency of many Head Start families, therefore Head Start incorporates a family approach to promoting the literacy development of the families it serves.

  • WIC

    To safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing  information on healthy eating, nutritious foods to supplement diets, and referrals to health care.
